Mixed Halides of Calcium

Defacqz obtained several mixed halide compounds of the alkaline earths. Among them were calcium fluorochloride, CaF₂.CaCl₂, density 3.07; calcium fluorobromide, CaF₂.CaBr₂, density 3.15; and calcium fiuoro-iodide, CaF₂.CaI₂. The latter is a deliquescent substance which was not obtained in a pure state. The fluorochloride is not stable at its melting-point.
