Calcium Orthovanadate, Ca3(VO4)2

Calcium Orthovanadate, Ca3(VO4)2, is obtained by the decomposition of the sodium salt with calcium chloride. It is decomposed by the action of water into calcium pyrovanadate and calcium hydroxide.

Compounds of tricalcium orthovanadate with calcium haloids, similar to the phosphate and arsenate halogen compounds, have also been described.
