Calcium Tellurite, CaTeO3

Calcium Tellurite, CaTeO3, is obtained as a flocculent precipitate soluble in boiling water, by the action of tellurious acid on a soluble calcium salt. It is not readily fusible. Berzelius also mentions two acid salts, CaO.2TeO2, or CaH2Te2O6, and CaO.4TeO2, or CaH2Te4O10. They melt at white heat, and on cooling form an opaque mass consisting of mica-like scales.
