Neutral Calcium Hypophosphate, CaPO3.H2O, is obtained as a white gelatinous precipitate, becoming granular on washing, by the interaction of sodium hypophosphate and calcium chloride solutions. It does not crystallise, is insoluble in water, only slightly soluble in acetic acid, but soluble in hydrochloric and hypophosphoric acid. It is dehydrated at 200° C. with partial oxidation.
